Refund Policy
Refund and cancellation terms for PaperJSX paid products.
Summary
Paid PaperJSX subscriptions and commercial licenses are billed through Paddle unless an Order Form says otherwise. You can cancel renewal at any time. Refunds are available for statutory rights, billing errors, duplicate charges, failed activation, and certain material service reductions. First self-serve purchases may be submitted for 14-day buyer protection review, subject to usage and abuse review.
1. Scope
This Refund Policy applies to PaperJSX subscriptions, commercial components, private package access, license keys, and hosted features purchased through Paddle or directly from us.
If a signed Order Form has different refund terms, the Order Form controls.
2. Merchant of record
Paddle is our merchant of record or authorized reseller for most online purchases. Paddle handles checkout, payment processing, invoices, taxes, statutory buyer rights for the payment transaction, and refund processing where applicable.
Refunds for Paddle purchases are issued through Paddle.
3. Cancellations
You may cancel subscription renewal through the account portal, Paddle buyer portal, or by contacting support@paperjsx.com. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not automatically refund the current billing period unless this Policy, an Order Form, or applicable law says otherwise.
Access to Commercial Components and private package access may continue until the end of the paid term unless the account is terminated for breach, fraud, chargeback, security abuse, or license misuse.
4. First-purchase buyer protection review
For online self-serve purchases, you may submit a buyer protection review request within 14 days after the initial purchase through Settings > Billing or by emailing support@paperjsx.com with your Paddle order reference and account email.
Requests are not automatic refunds. We review the purchase record, entitlement activation, support history, and usage signals such as renders, MCP calls, private package access, and license activity before approving a refund or credit.
We may deny or limit refunds where we reasonably determine there is abuse, including repeated purchases and refunds, misuse of license keys, unauthorized redistribution, chargeback fraud, or substantial use inconsistent with a trial/refund request.
5. Renewals, upgrades, and partial periods
Renewals, upgrades, downgrades, and partial billing periods are non-refundable unless applicable law, an Order Form, or this Policy says otherwise.
Downgrades and cancellations usually take effect at the end of the current billing period. Upgrades may take effect immediately and may be prorated depending on checkout configuration.
6. Billing errors and failed activation
We will refund confirmed billing errors, duplicate charges, and failed activation where you paid but did not receive the purchased entitlement and we cannot fix the issue within a reasonable time.
7. Material feature reduction
If we materially reduce a core paid feature during your current prepaid term and do not provide a reasonable replacement, you may cancel the affected subscription and request a prorated refund for the unused portion of the current prepaid term.
This does not apply to beta, preview, experimental, deprecated, free, open-source, or non-core features unless an Order Form says otherwise.
8. Statutory rights
Nothing in this Policy limits non-waivable refund, withdrawal, or consumer rights under applicable law. If you have a statutory right to a refund or withdrawal, Paddle or we will process it as required.
9. How to request a refund
Email support@paperjsx.com with:
